Client Process

Navigating Your Project Journey

Step 1: Snapshot of Your Space

Begin by sending us photographs and dimensions of your space. This step helps us to see your project through your eyes, fostering creativity and enabling us to get a comprehensive visual understanding of the area.

Step 2: Initial Phone Consultation

Next, we'll schedule a phone call for a detailed conversation about your project. This conversation will revolve around your expectations, timeline, and other project specifics, including a transparent cost estimate.

Step 3: On-site Consultation

We arrange an on-site consultation where we'll present material samples and provide a detailed quote. A project sketch is also given to help you envision your space's transformation. (*The $300 consultation fee is credited towards the project when the contract is signed.*)

Step 4: Finalizing the Contract

Our last step is to provide a detailed contract, encompassing all project aspects and a 2-year warranty. Following the contract signature, a 40% deposit is necessary to confirm your project's position on our schedule. We look forward to working with you!

Common Queries About Our Client Process

  • What should I include in the initial photos and measurements I send?

Your initial photos and measurements should provide a clear and comprehensive view of the area we'll be working on. Take several photos from different angles to ensure we get a complete perspective.

Regarding measurements, please provide us with the length, width, and any other dimensions relevant to your project. This could include distances to neighboring structures or properties, gradient changes, or unique landscape features.

Don't worry about being exact - these are primarily for our preliminary understanding of the space.

  • Is the consultation fee of $300 mandatory and what does it cover?

Indeed, the consultation fee is necessary. It accounts for our expertise in evaluating your space, discussing materials, offering a comprehensive quote, and crafting a project sketch.

But view this fee as a preliminary investment in your project rather than an extra expense. Once you sign the contract, we'll credit the $300 towards your project's total cost, essentially making the consultation complimentary.

  • What does the 40% deposit cover and why is it necessary?

The 40% deposit essentially secures your spot on our schedule. This helps us plan our workload and ensures that we have the necessary resources and materials available to start your project on time.

Additionally, it provides us with an upfront investment to cover initial costs associated with your project. These might include materials, equipment hire, or other preparatory expenses.

Rest assured, all these details will be clearly outlined in your contract.

  • What is included in the 2-year warranty?

Our 2-year warranty safeguards you against defects in materials or workmanship from the completion date of your project. However, it doesn't cover damages resulting from improper use, accidents, or natural disasters.

At Slate Interlock & Design, we take pride in our work and are dedicated to resolving any concerns falling within our warranty's parameters. We stand firm in our commitment to ensure customer satisfaction and quality workmanship.
